THE DALLAS Cowboys is not about to give up yet its National Football League season despite its woeful 1-6 win-loss record.
The Cowboys will pay a visit to the Green Bay Packers on November 7 in hope of getting its second win in the current NFL season against the red-hot Packers.
The visiting team will have its hand full against the Packers who is seeking to retain its three-game winning streak against the Cowboys.
The game will be extra-tough for the Cowboys since they will be missing the services of superstar quarterback Tony Romo, who is suffering from a left collarbone injury.
Leading the way for the Cowboys in game is veteran NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, who will face a tough challenge against Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Although much older and less skilled than Rodgers, Kitna cannot be counted out in their match-up since the latter have veteran leadership and heart in the game.
In the Cowboy’s last game against the Jacksonville Jaguars where they lost 35-17, Kitna in first start since 2008 had a huge game, going 34 of 49 for 379 yards with a touchdown.
If Kitna can duplicate his solid game against the Jaguars, the Cowboys could upset and surprise the heavily favored Packers.
The home-team Packers for its part can avoid the upset axe if Rodgers can continue his solid game in the current NFL season.
Rodgers had been instrumental in the recent wins of the Packers, who is starting to regain its NFL championship touch this year.
The Packers are poised to win their sixth game in the 2010 NFL season if the team will continue to play hard and not be complacent against the dangerous Cowboys.

At 38 years old Dallas Cowboys back-up quarterback Jon Kitna is not really expected to play huge minutes in the twilight of his career.
However with the recent injury suffered by Cowboys superstar quarterback Tony Romo, a huge task now await Kitna as takes the role as the leader of his team.
Romo recently suffered a left collarbone injury that will sideline him from six to eight weeks.
The Cowboys superstar quarterback suffered the injury in the team’s recent loss to the New York Giants at home 35-41.
The loss dropped the the Cowboys to a 1-5 win-loss record which put them in danger of losing the chance to compete in the NFL playoffs and even the Super Bowl this year.
To avoid the chance to miss the 2010 NFL playoffs, Kitna is now challenged to play harder and go beyond his age to propel the Cowboys to victory.
While the Cowboys are in danger of losing their chance to compete in the NFL postseason, it is the other-way around for the Giants.
The Giants who hiked their record to 5-2 is now moving closer to the opportunity to play in the NFL playoffs.
In their game, Giants superstar quarterback Eli was simply awesome as he  spearhead the Giants from a 13-point deficit to a 41-35 victory that put the Giants a full game ahead of the NFC East and tied for the most wins in the conference.
Manning led the Giants on five straight scoring drives over the middle two quarters, posting 31 points.
If the Giants can continue their winning season there is no way they could not get an NFL playoff slot and compete for the Super Bowl this year.
All the Giants have to do is to continue to play hard and with a purpose and avoid complacency to avoid upsets and defeats.
